Apollo APPOB100012 1/2 in. x 1000 ft. Orange PEX-B Oxygen Barrier Radiant Heating Pipe
ApolloPEX tubing is cross-linked polyethylene tubing primarily used in radiant and hydronic heating applications (Indicated by Orange color). An oxygen diffusion barrier designed within the exterior of the pipe limits oxygen permeation through the tubing wall in hydronic heating applications which assists in the prevention of corrosion of ferrous parts within the piping system. The ApolloPEX system is a comprehensive piping system comprised of brass fittings, poly alloy fittings, manifolds, valves, fasteners, tools and tubing designed for implementation in water delivery systems, simple or complex.
- Superior flexibility reduces the number of fittings required for installation which also reduces leak points within piping systems
- Oxygen barrier assists in the prevention of ferrous metal system component corrosion
- Durable and corrosion resistant pipe endures most installation environments
- Suitable for wet or dry installations and immediate pressure testing
- Compatible with ApolloPex system fittings and tectite by Apollo push-to-connect fittings
- Listed to NSF 14 and CSA B137.5 for use in potable water distribution piping systems
- Center-pull coil speeds installation
- Available in coils (100 ft. – 1000 ft.)
- Oxygen Barrier PEX tubing may also be used as transfer lines for baseboard heating systems with a maximum operating temperature of 200° F @ 100 psi.
- The tubing may be installed in concrete, gypsum based lightweight concrete, sand, asphalt, in or under wood flooring, or behind wallboard or plaster
